Preparing one small business at a timeWhen I used to co-own a Small Business while working full time, I was pretty much doing everything by myself for the small business to save money (IT, payroll, electrical, plumbing, ordering supplies, etc.,). I used to call several vendors to take care of some of the issues and they all would quote me prices only the ‘big guys’ can afford. If I want them to perform services during ‘after hours’, they’d add ‘overtime’ charges (time and half to two). I was willing to come in during after hours but not able to afford higher service fees.
After I sold my small business, I was thinking that there are so many small to medium size businesses that go thru similar situation like I did. Not all small businesses are able to afford experts on all fields. May be I should explore this gap and make these services available to everyone at an affordable price point.
That is when I realized that I should start offering the niche services after hours at an affordable rate to small and midsize businesses and bring other people on board. Then came the idea of gathering experts in their field whom are already working full time jobs. This would keep the overhead low, generate additional income for those experts, and at the same time serve small businesses. During the process we can mitigate Cybersecurity risks for one business at a time. That’s how ‘After Hours Cybersecurity’ was born.
At After Hours Cybersecurity, we offer Cybersecurity services starting at 5 pm thru 11 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. This is when most small business have some down time.
All of us either currently work or previously worked for major corporations and government agencies providing Cybersecurity services. We thought why not provide the same expert Cybersecurity services to small businesses which forms the backbone of our economy.
Small and midsize businesses are a major part of our economy and lacks adequate Cybersecurity safeguards protect intellectual proprietary and customer information.
